More about Karen Cuskey
Karen Cuskey-Hartman is a 30+ year resident of Dallas that has one mission in life – leave the world better than she found it.
Karen first accomplished this mission via her award-winning philanthropy and marketing; and in 2004, she was licensed as a real estate agent. Back then her focus was on a past time of remodeling homes with her husband while she built a successful, award-winning advertising agency. In 2015 Karen had a near death experience and decided life was too short not to follow her real estate dreams. She sold her interest in the agency to join Coldwell-Banker full time and has never looked back!
Karen’s marketing experience gives her clients a clear advantage. She sells homes quickly and uses clever tactics to break through the clutter. She often partners homes with like-minded, like hearted brands or charities for the purpose of benefiting both the listing and the brand/charity. For example, Karen has turned an empty listing into an art gallery. The purpose? To cross pollinate high-income databases with the artist. This tactic not only sold the home in less than two weeks (previously on the market for triple digit days), but it also sold $40,000 in art.
Karen goes the extra mile for her clients by what she calls, "connecting the dots". She has been known to find clients not only the perfect home but jobs, pets, friends, hairdressers, nannies, house sitters, doctors, lawyers, and so forth.
Karen is a founding member of Campaign for Kindness, a non-profit focused on igniting systemic change in the way we treat one another. Most recently she has united with five likeminded, like hearted realtors to form The Live Local Group at Coldwell Banker. Hartman says about the group, "When one realtor with a great network shows up good things happen but when our team of connectors shows up, we can make change and truly help our neighbors and our community as a whole." Karen’s community work includes Mommies in Need Diaper Drive, The Peace Pantries in Dallas schools via an annual food drive, The Annual Igniting Kindness Scholarship Fund, pet charities: Wine to the Rescue and Cody’s Friends, Dallas Dogrrr, The Villages at Lake Highlands art installation, Munger Place Christmas Store, and The Faces of East Dallas. Karen and her husband Tobin are involved in Big Brothers/Sister Lonestar and are grateful givers at Munger Place Church. How can she help you?
