Barbara Dunnington

Personal Background

Having a father who was a Group Captain in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Barbara knows what relocation means. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she lived in many Canadian cities while growing up, including Edmonton, Ottawa, and Goose Bay, Labrador. Upon graduation from St. Patrick's College in Ottawa, where she majored in history, she joined CUSO (Canadian University Services Overseas) and headed off to Nigeria where she lived and taught high school for two years. While there, she met a young Peace Corps volunteer named Tom, who eventually became her husband. They originally settled in Arlington, Virginia, and then, while Tom attended Suffolk Law School, moved to North Andover, MA. In 1972 they returned to Tom's hometown, Dover, NH, where they still reside and where they raised their three children, Jennifer, Michael, and Kenneth. Barbara became a Realtor in 1990, starting her career with Dan Gabriel Real Estate, which then became DeWolfe, and finally, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. From the start, she has greatly enjoyed helping buyers and sellers with their real estate needs and focuses her time and efforts on making their transactions as smooth and successful as possible.
