The Coldwell Banker brand is the oldest and most established residential real estate franchise system in North America. In fact, Coldwell Banker Real Estate is the original Silicon Valley real estate start-up founded in 1906.

The company was founded when Colbert Coldwell saw families devastated by the San Francisco earthquake being gouged by unethical real estate agents. Colbert, along with his partner Benjamin Banker formed Coldwell Banker to provide real estate services with honesty and professionalism.

Since that time, Coldwell Banker has been renowned for its innovation and ingenuity and for leading the real estate industry with integrity and professionalism. Now in its second century, Coldwell Banker is still led by these same principles and continues to offer clients a level of service and resources of which Colbert Coldwell and Benjamin Banker would be proud.
