Rafael Padilla

Originally from Cuba arrived in this country on March 23, 1964. Married to my sweetheart lady from Cuba, on May 18, 1968. We had two children, Rafael and Ana and five grandchildren, Chelsie, Santana, Preston, Kamryn and Hope. We had a wonderful life together for 54 long, beautiful, happiest years, never to be forgotten.

My early working life always pointed me to the Real Estate Industry, as my first job started at Horizon Land Corporation, a land developer here in Tucson.

They were the developers of Arizona Sunsites, Corona de Tucson, Paradise Hills in Albuquerque,

New Mexico and Horizon City in El Paso, Texas.

Then while learning 1^st generation computer operations on an RCA 301 big monster computer, IBM came into town, I applied and was hired 9 months later, rise through the ranks and became a manager in the computer operations group first, then managing a group of programmers that were doing software developing and systems maintenance and upgrades. Retired from IBM after 17 years and went to work in the Computer Center at University Medical Center supervising computer operators. But the bug of Real Estate still inside on me and got my Real Estate license in 1996 and started working for a short while for Roy Long company, at the time one of the most well-known companies here in Tucson, then went to work for Best Companies Real Estate. Things were getting busy so decided to quit my Supervisory job at UMC and dedicate myself to the Real Estate business. Then 3 years later decided to work for myself and got my broker’s license in 1999 and create R & F Realty enjoying a new experience that help me learn and grow into the area of helping people achieve their dream of home ownership. Always treating both buyers and sellers with respect and the outmost consideration for their respective needs. It was a blast of this new chapter in my life that I wished to have started earlier. It has been one of the most wonderful working experiences in my life, one that I will never forget or stop doing it.
