Originally from California, Dorena has lived in Alexandria for over 35 years. Besides being her home, Northern Virginia is also where she’s worked for decades, so she’s very familiar with the area, its towns, communities and offerings. Dorena holds a BA in Political Science and a Legal Assistant degree. She is additionally a distinguished Project Management Professional (PMP).

Her background is quite diverse, highlighted by multimillion global information technology program and project management experience. Dorena’s negotiation and communication skills are truly top-notch. She enjoyed careers in healthcare, law enforcement, ex-offender counseling, government and media relations, and small business ownership as well.

On the personal side, Dorena adores Greyhound dogs, and has owned rescued hounds for the past 15 or so years.
