Peter Johnston, native Houstonian, began his real estate career working for International Developer, Gerald Hines, as a property manager for inner loop properties.  He was promoted to Group Manager for Post Oak Central, other inner loop office buildings, and retail centers.  Several years later, he moved his family to Galveston when he accepted the position of Facilities Director for Galveston County.  Living on the water and near the beach was great but opportunity was calling.

His work in Galveston led to his recruitment to Enron Energy Services, where he worked with contracts, finance, and construction serving the Real Estate market sector.  As the real estate “go to” person for the Energy Services Group, he traveled nationally working with major companies in developing efficient service and energy agreements for their real estate, including capital upgrades and engineering.

After Enron, he managed major renovations to the towers and grounds of a premier high-rise condominium.

Peter grew up learning about the residential Real Estate business.  Peter’s mother was a Top Producing Realtor in central and west Houston for 35 years.  As soon as Peter got his driver’s license, he learned to navigate Houston’s neighborhoods while placing signs for her listings and helping with open houses.  She was a generous mentor for up-and-coming Realtors and her son paid attention.  The early positive exposure to this business influenced his life choices.  Peter has certainly been enjoying an unusually multi-faceted Real Estate career.

Peter is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, a member of the Houston and Texas and National Associations of Realtors.  He earned designations for Luxury Home Marketing, Certified Probate Specialist, Senior Real Estate Specialist, and earned the Real Property Administrator and Certified Property Manager designations.  He has served on the local Boards of the Residential Real Estate Council and the Women’s Council of Real Estate.  Peter is also a member of Coldwell Banker’s International Sterling Society awarded to the top 25% of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide.
