"This is one of the biggest investments you'll ever make". I'm sure you've heard someone say this before. I don't need to be the one to tell you that this doesn't help with the pressure. In all honesty, purchasing a home is scary.

You may feel confused, stressed, frustrated, as well as any external pressure from your personal life. Mix all that and you're probably very overwhelmed.

However, being a homeowner is still the goal! You may be over living with roommates, paying rent to a landlord, following strict rules. Maybe you're looking to settle down with your significant other or you're looking to move out from your parent's house.

You want a place you can call your own, to build memories, spend time with family and friends, and achieve a major milestone. Ultimately, you want something that's "you" and some kind of lifestyle change.

As a child, our family and I moved a total of eight times throughout Chicago and the NW Suburbs. I remember each time was more stressful than the last. After the first three purchases, you would think we would be experts at this! However, this wasn't the case and my parents acted as first-time home buyers each time. There was a clear disconnect, lack of knowledge, and guidance.

We weren't with the "right" agent who could provide proper supervision which was stressful and confusing. This is one of the reasons, I became a real estate agent. I wanted to ensure support and guidance to prevent anyone from feeling the same way my parents did. To this day, I've built my business on trust, on being adaptable, reliable, and someone who actively listens and communicates.

I understand, everyone will have different wants and needs, however, the goal to be a homeowner is the same. It's a major milestone that requires a team and that starts with you and me.
