More about Manu McNamarra

Kīnāʻole (doing the right thing, in the right way, at the right time, in the right place, for the right person, for the right reason)

Having been a dedicated realtor for over 15 years, I believe few sentiments ring truer than “home is where the heart is.” This sentiment seems to carry more significance when you are blessed enough to reside in Hawai’i. There is nothing more satisfying than watching clients fall in love with their forever home. Paired with a vast knowledge of the Hawai’i real estate industry, sellers and buyers, alike, can benefit from my market knowledge meets statistical reality and a keen eye for what's good. I prefer to leave square footage to the unimaginative. A well-suited space is king and indulging my clients in that "I didn't know this existed" experience reigns supreme.

I can lend an aptitude that runs slightly left of the standard realtor mainline. Born on O’ahu, I attended Punahou School in Honolulu and Hawaii Preparatory Academy on the Big Island of Hawai’i. I am a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in International Business and Entrepreneurship. I furthered my studies, ultimately earning a Masters in Business and Art from Manchester University and Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, The United Kingdom. I have lived in New England, South Africa, London, and California, but consider myself a true Hawai’i girl. Having grown up and lived on both O'ahu and The Island of Hawai’i, I am uniquely positioned to lend my clients and investors an unparalleled knowledge base on variations of outer island lifestyles. As an accomplished equestrian and competitor in the American Quarter Horse world, I can advise my clients on Big Island ranch, agriculture as well as "off-grid" specialty properties that have always been so coveted over the generations. My time at Sotheby's in London, afforded me an artistic eye and exposure to the international art scene that I draw upon when staging properties for my sellers to achieve a successful closing at top dollar.

Growing up on O’ahu, I have watched Kailua, a community I specialize in, change from a sleepy beach community to the bustling enclave it is today. I will always have a longing for the days of old Hawaii and that treasured sense of place that one can only find in the islands. I am married to a retired Navy Captain and Annapolis Graduate and together we are raising our two children on the Windward side of O'ahu.

Kōkua (to help or assistance in a spirit of generosity, even self-sacrifice)

I consider myself incredibly lucky. I think we all do if we live in Hawai’i. This island of ours is perched in a stunning, geographically diverse state, and we have unparalleled access to the mind-bending natural beauty and culturally-evocative people. It is a privilege to call these beaches, communities, and green spaces “home”—and it is absolutely up to us to take the utmost care. Nobody is better poised to do this than the future generations of this sacred place. To that end, I feel a strong need to Kokua, or give back, to an organization whose values are aligned with mine. Therefore, I commit a percentage of my sales commissions toward the scholarship fund at Le Jardin Academy, a school I wholeheartedly support and want to see grow. The concept of “Malama” or stewardship and giving back is the pinnacle purpose of what I do.
