More about Chip O'Neill

Chip, a native of Houston, Texas, pursued his passion for music at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, where he majored in Music History & Literature. With a lifelong dedication to the piano, he continues to hone his skills daily.

Transitioning to the telecommunications industry, Chip spent 15 years designing business telephone and voicemail systems, working across Ohio and California before settling in Sacramento in 1995. Alongside his professional pursuits, Chip finds joy in hobbies such as playing piano, gardening, and collecting art, enriching his life in the South Land Park community.

In 1999, Chip embarked on a new career path, obtaining his Real Estate license and joining the Coldwell Banker team. Over the years, he advanced his credentials, achieving his Brokers license in 2014. Based in the Sacramento Metro office on McKinley Park, Chip also extends his expertise to Hawaii, holding licenses and operating from the Coldwell Banker Diamond Head/Kahala office.

Driven by a commitment to community service, Chip has held various leadership roles, including Vice-President of the South Land Park Neighborhood Association and President of the Art Service Group, benefiting the Crocker Art Museum. He currently serves as treasurer for the Ka’onohi Foundation, supporting the Sacramento Aloha Festival, promoting Native Hawaiian culture and treasurer of the LGBTQ Real Estate Alliance Sacramento Chapter.

Chip's dedication extends to professional development and advocacy within the real estate industry. He is a graduate of both the Sacramento City Management Academy and the Sacramento Citizens Academy. Actively involved with the Sacramento Association of Realtors, Chip serves on the Board of Directors, contributing to committees such as Metrolist MLS, Scholarship Fundraising, Government Affairs and Realtor Action Fund. Additionally, he holds a director position for the California Association of Realtors, serving on the Professional Standards Committee, Public Policy Committee and MLS Committee.
