Larry Hodgson

Larry Hodgson came to the world of residential sales with an exceptional knowledge as a Washington, D.C. area home builder of nearly 30 years. The former proprietor of Hodgson Builders Inc. and Hodgson Design-Build, Larry built new homes in virtually every neighborhood in and around D.C., plus did commercial development work on Capitol Hill and elsewhere.

With Hodgson Builders, Larry worked with some of the most respected architects in Washington on addition, renovation, and restoration projects. The company received numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, and its work was published in Southern Living, Southern, Washington Post, and Luxury Homes of Washington, among others. Larry's expertise includes a thorough working knowledge of District of Columbia zoning issues and Historic Preservation code and practice.

Specializing in the listing and sale of homes, townhouses, and apartments as well as investment properties, Larry enjoys sharing his expertise with buyers and renters seeking their dream home, with sellers looking to maximize their return, and with investors interested in fixer-uppers and other opportunities for their portfolio. He is an expert at assessing properties for their quality and potential and is a responsive, thorough professional in all aspects of your deal.

Born in Germany and fluent in the language, Larry grew up on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and has lived here most of his life. He also resided in Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Philadelphia, but was always drawn back to the only place he considers home. Larry attended the University of Maryland and Boston Architectural Center before venturing into his own successful construction businesses. He currently lives in American University Park wand his two grown children are also DC residents.
