I came to the United States in 1989, having known just one person here in the U.S., a high school friend from my hometown of Surmene, Turkey. I worked my way up the ranks in the restaurant industry, first starting as a prep Cook and then becoming a licensed chef in 2005 from the New England Culinary Institute. My wife Lorinne and I, purchased a Luncheonette in Wallingford in 1996, which we owned for 11 years. Thereafter, we began a "Dinners to Go" concept near the shoreline. After 25 years in the restaurant industry, having knowledge of commercial real estate transactions as a buyer, and leveraging my many professional and personal friendships & relationships, I am ready to dive into the exciting world of Real Estate. I feel that my background in business makes me an excellent candidate for commercial real estate, while the fact that my wife & I have owned several residences over the years also gives me knowledge of the residential side as well. I am the father of two sons, Aydin, aged 24 and Evren, aged 19, both of whom plan to assist me with photos and listings. I am pleased to have my family's full support in my new career direction!
