After graduating from Anaheim high school in Southern California, Fred, with four of his talented colleagues, explored the world of professional music, performing in clubs, schools and other venues with his solid vocal jazz quintet.

He continued his education at Fullerton Community College and then at Chapman University, were he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in conducting. Fred then undertook completing his Master of Arts degree from California State University at Fullerton while teaching at Laguna Beach High School, where his groups toured widely in Europe and around the US garnering many prizes and awards for excellence.

After eight years as the Chairman of the Arts Department at El Modena High School in Orange, CA, Fred completed Doctoral work at the University of Colorado at Boulder and then proceeded to teach there for several years.

Fred then turned his attention to teaching at a Sonoma County high school attended by his two older sons, where he enjoyed serving as their music teacher. Upon his sons' graduation, Fred decided to explore a career in real estate.

Fred "learned the ropes" of being a REALTOR® for three years at Creative Property Services in Sonoma County and then became the firm's director of training. He developed "The Success Express," an award-winning, new agent training course that included an extensive six-week training program, supported by a detailed textbook which is a resource unique in the field. He also created Guidelines for Mentoring, a text which included training materials for Mentors as well as for those we have come to call Mentees. Creative Property Services evolved into Better Homes Realty, a national firm where Fred served as the National Training Coordinator.

In 2020, Fred returned to his real estate roots helping clients buy and sell real estate in Sonoma County. He is well positioned as part of the team at Coldwell Banker to provide you with exceptional service and an exclusive property marketing program that drives results, even in these challenging times. And he continues to do guest lecturing and mentoring on the side, just to stay sharp.
