His love of architecture and design began very young being surrounded by the amazing variety of iconic Los Angeles mid-century, Spanish, Arts & Crafts and Victorian architectural styles among others.  His childhood spent at his grandparent’s home on Broad Beach Road in Malibu helped to shape his enduring appreciation for the indoor/outdoor mid-century, California lifestyle.
