Ellen Meyers began her real estate career in 1972 as a property manager and from there became involved in condominium development. For 11 years, she was employed by the leading condominium developer in Back Bay. She coordinated all aspects of condominium conversion and development, assisted with legal matters, and implemented the sale process from offer through to closing.

In 1985, Ellen refocused her career to full-time real estate brokerage, primarily in the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, South End, Waterfront, Midtown, Seaport, Newton and Brookline. For over 35 years, she has successfully brokered transactions which include some of the finer addresses in Boston. For the past 30 years, she has been affiliated with Coldwell Banker's Back Bay office.

Ellen’s work over the years has involved selling to end users as well as developers. Knowing how best to position a property and target the appropriate audience is one of her strengths. She is known for being well-educated in the market, as well as having a thorough understanding of what drives the market and how best to capitalize on it.

Ellen’s accomplishments include membership in Coldwell Banker’s International President’s Elite as well as President’s Circle. She was also a former President of the Downtown Council of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.

In 2022, Ellen proudly announced that her daughter, Jackie Zakon, has joined the Coldwell Banker Back Bay office.  While they maintain their own book of business, they enjoy joining forces when in the best interest of their clients. Jackie graduated Penn State University in 2014 and earned her MBA in Finance from Boston University's Questrom School of Business in 2019. During and after graduate school, Jackie worked in commercial real estate at Beacon Capital Partners, and then in 2020 began her residential brokerage career, although her first exposure to residential real estate was assisting Ellen with weekend open houses since she was old enough to open a door and ask people to sign in!
